Transport Research
Government forms transportation research boards to advise them on the correct policies with regards to the transportation industry. Areas covered include safe highway designs, the security of transportation whether by land, air or sea, safety traffic signages and consultancy services on the future of the industry itself. Research results are used as inputs to national transport planning policy boards for approval into laws.
I use these books for my trasport research.
Policy formulation and analysis of transport data such as volume of passengers and cargo, effect on the environment and effect on cities and their populations are the usual concerns of such research studies. They are conducted to improve existing systems and make them more energy efficient, reduce costs and reduce delivery times.
