Regions
Different regions can be reached by a both a private as well as a public transportation system. Public transport provides passenger transportation services which are available for use by the general public while private transportation employs the use of automobiles or vehicles for hire. In different regions, public transportation system includes buses, subways, trolleys and light rail, commuter trains, van pool services, paratransit services for senior citizens and people with disabilities, ferries, water taxis, or monorails, etc. The transportation system of different regions have their own standards or policies and may or may not be regulated or subsidized by authorities.
