A connected series of vehicles that move along a track or permanent way to transport passengers or freight from one place to another refers to a train. Basically, railways are made up of complex mechanical and electrical systems and there are hundreds of thousands of moving parts. One of these parts is the track which is usually consist of two rails but can also be a monorail or magley guideway. Further, a separate locomotive or from individual motors in self-propelled multiple units provides propulsion for the train while diesel locomotives power the modern trains or electricity supplied by overhead wires or additional rails make the train run. In addition, other sources of power are possible including horses, gas turbines, gravity, rope, or wire.
