Chamber of commerce (COC), also known as a board of trade is an association or network of businesses which joined together to advocate the cause of the local business community. In some countries, membership to the chamber is obligatory or compulsory; while in some, membership is optional. Being the world’s largest business federation, COC can influence economic decisions by speaking with the government on behalf of the business community. One of the most remarkable contributions of COCs to the community where they function is probably the development and improvement of the transportation system, which are vital to the operation of businesses and economic development.
