Alternative Transport
The rising fuel costs and pressures to protect the environment have called attention to the transport industry to produce fuel-efficient and sustainable vehicles. An attempt in response to such pressures includes using alternative fuels like liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas, biodiesel, and hydrogen. However, most of these attempts are still within the experimental stage.

However, mechanical transports are not only limited to cars, ships or planes. The broad range of mechanical transports includes riding bicycles, mass transit systems, and buses. Individually, commuters could rides on bicycles to nearby places. For faraway places, they can resort to ride buses, trains, or any public transport vehicles. Hitching or carpooling with friends and neighbours may also be an option. In some places, carriages remain a common transport option. Similarly, governments could contribute in alternative transports through careful road planning and improving traffic networks.
