Although we often think of mechanical transport as ground-based, there are also many instances of air mechanical transport. Air cargoes flown through airplanes are subject to some industry studies which showed that air cargoes are subjected to stresses such as takeoffs, altitude climbs, cruise, approach, descent, landing and taxiing. The knowledge gained from these studies were very valuable in the preparation of product engineering and package technology to make products arrive fresher such as fruits or medicines. Less damage such as spillage and breakage are prevented by such in-depth studies to make air cargo worthwhile in terms of cost considerations.
